UNC Imperial Machine Screws

UNC (Unified Coarse) machine screws are widely used across engineering, maintenance, automotive, agricultural and industrial applications. Their coarse thread form provides strong engagement, good resistance to stripping and reliable performance in softer materials such as aluminium and mild steel.

Typical uses include machinery repair, equipment assembly, plant maintenance, fabrication work and general-purpose fastening where a robust imperial thread is required. The Unified Thread Standard (UTS) was introduced in 1948 as a joint agreement between the UK, USA and Canada to harmonise imperial thread forms. UNC threads use a 60° profile and are designed for strength, ease of manufacture and compatibility across industries. They remain widely used today in engineering and maintenance environments.
